Final Prospect Rankings(4/20)
Nick Gaschler
1.Myles Garrett-Edge-Texas A&M
Myles Garrett has shown throughout the draft process that he is the best player in this draft. If anyone doubted it, their concerns melted with a strong performance at the Combine. All signs point to the 1st Pick this year and I think in the future, Garrett will be a Pro Bowler.
2.Jamal Adams-S-LSU
Adams has moved up a spot from my previous board because he is a great leader of the defense. He also has great skills at safety and can be a superstar on defense. Whoever takes him will be getting a gem in Adams.
3.Leonard Fournette-RB-LSU
Fournette is still on the top of this list, he has just dropped down due to Adams draft stock rising. I think he will be an Ezekiel Elliott type player who can tear through defenses any day of the year. He can fit into any offensive which is great.
4.Malik Hooker-S-Ohio State
Looking back on this draft, I believe that Hooker will be one of the best players to come out of it. Despite his injury, he should be healthy by training camp and with his range and ball skills, he will dominate.
5.Solomon Thomas-DL-Stanford
Solomon Thomas may have dropped a bit, but he is still a pro stud that will just destroy opposing O-Lines. I admire his Combine and Pro Day performances that were the real reason for his rise. He also looks very efficient on tape.
6.Marshon Lattimore-CB-Ohio State
In this deep DB class, Lattimore shines despite only 1 year of starting experience. He is the sharpest prospect in this talented CB group and I think whoever takes him will put him in to be an immediate Opening Day starter.
7.OJ Howard-TE-Alabama
OJ Howard has been the shining star of this draft and made the right decision to stay at Alabama to improve his blocking. I think he has the opportunity to go in the top 10 and really be the top receiver on a team.
8.Haason Reddick-OLB-Temple
Reddick’s athleticism has him going high on my list. I think he would be a great OLB or DE and may be the future defensive anchor for a team that struggles. I am a believer that he is a top 10 pick and will be great in the future.
9.Jonathan Allen-DL-Alabama
Jonathan Allen’s slide continues as he drops from 6 to 9. I still think he is a great D-Lineman and will go in the top 10. Whoever picks up Allen will be getting a good DE and a great DT. He will be an amazing talent, but just doesn’t look at his best right now.
10.Derek Barnett-Edge-Tennessee
Barnett is a great player with amazing pass rushing skills. He is easily a top 10 pick and with a strong performance at the Combine despite being sick. If I was a GM, I would notice that because that shows that he can play. Barnett will be an impact player at the next level.
11.Reuben Foster-LB-Alabama
I still have Foster dropping from his original projections in the draft, but he is still a really good prospect that will be a steal wherever he lands. He will be an excellent inside linebacker that will excel on the next level wherever he may go.
12.Mike Williams-WR-Clemson
Mike Williams has reclaimed the #1 WR spot on my board and I think he is really good. He is excellent on the outside and will play superb. He reminds scout of Dez Bryant and I think he will be very successful if that is he is compared to.
13.Christian McCaffrey-RB-Stanford
The ultimate utility knife. As a returner, receiver, and or course runner, McCaffrey can make a roster easy wherever he goes and I think he will be successful. With strong performances at the Combine and his Pro Day, I think McCaffrey will be the guy for someone.
14.Jabrill Peppers-S-Michigan
Peppers is a defensive stud who has taken huge leaps up my board. This time he didn’t jump as high, but is still very good. He is one of the most athletic players in this draft and will be a Day One starter despite his lack of production in college.
15.Corey Davis-WR-Western Michigan
Davis has dropped due to injury and while he is still a very good wideout, he just doesn’t convince me that he is capable of being a great WR. Although he does have the makings of a great wideout he just drops a little bit because of injury.
16.Dalvin Cook-RB-Florida State
Shoulder issues have dropped Cook by 11 points since my last Top 30n and I also think some of his past character issues may pull him down in the draft. Regardless, he is still a great RB and will fit into an NFL scheme well.
17.Deshaun Watson-QB-Clemson
Watson has gone from #4 on my QB list to likely #1. I think he may be a 2 year project, but he is still a QB that will play as a franchise QB in the future. The Clemson standout has gone full circle from the beginning of the season.
18.Taco Charlton-Edge-Michigan
Taco Charlton has been on the rise for the past couple of months after the season ended. Today he makes the jump to #18 on my board and he deserves it. His production was great this year and he broke out to lead the Michigan defensive line.
19.Gareon Conley-CB-Ohio State
Conley has taken a huge jump up boards after Sidney Jones’ crushing injury. I still think he is great despite him dropping a place on the board. He has played well at Ohio State and with a good combine performance, he will jump into the 1st Round.
20.Garett Bolles-OT-Utah
Although this tackle class isn’t great, Bolles is great after putting on a show at the Combine and his Pro Day. He is easily the most athletic tackle and will be able to find success on the next level, therefore, he has jumped up on my board.
21.Takk McKinley-Edge-UCLA
Takk McKinley has been everywhere this offseason. He began as an OLB and then I tried moving him to DL and settled at edge rusher. He has a non-stop motor and will be an impact player wherever he plays.
22.John Ross III-WR-Washington
The speedster has taken a small jump to the high 20s. He has the potential to be a #2 reciever and I think he would be an amazing talent on the next level. He can play both outside and in the slot and would succeed either way.
23. Quincy Wilson-CB-Florida
Despite what many people think, I believe Quincy Wilson is one of the best CBs in this class and I think he could end up going in the 1st round. He has the size to take on the new breed of wideouts and will be a great corner on the next level.
24.Charles Harris-Edge-Mizzou
Charles Harris has been a force to be reckoned with this year after having a good Combine. I think he has the opportunity to go to a good team towards the bottom of the 1st round and would be a scary force off the edge.
25.Ryan Ramczyk-OT-Wisconsin
The only player that is injured that is on the rise. Ramczyk is a good left tackle that can do very well blocking against edge rushers. He performed well at Wisconsin despite only one year of experience and I think he will perform well on the next level once healthy.
26.Tre’Davious White-CB-LSU
Tre’Davious White climbed up boards after the Senior Bowl and I think he has the opportunity to take over the #2 or #3 position on the board. He will be great on the next level as all LSU DBs usually are and I think he will make an impact wherever he lands.
27.Forrest lamp-OL-Western Kentucky
Forrest Lamp may be the best Offensive Line prospect in this draft. He can play both outside at tackle and inside at guard and may be one of the best O-Lineman coming out of this draft in the next couple of years. I do have Bolles and Ramczyk above him, but he is great.
28.Alvin Kamara-RB-Tennessee
If you are a team that picks in the lower 1st Round and McCaffrey is gone, you might as well grab his twin Alvin Kamara. He is a great triple threat back and while myself among many may worry about his lack of carries he is still an impressive RB.
29.Budda Baker-S-Washington
When evaluating Baker, I thought he was one of the best prospects in the deep class of DBs. I still like him although he may not be as good as the others, he is still an impact free safety that will play great on the next level.
30.Mitchell Trubisky-QB-UNC
Trubisky has stumbled a little bit in my big board update and while I think he is still a very good QB, I don’t see him being the best. However, he is still the most NFL-Ready QB in this draft and has the opportunity to go very high.
