2019 NFL Mock Draft(June Edition)

2019 NFL Mock Draft Nick Gaschler And now we get to the next stage. The 2019 NFL Draft is a year away, but that doesn’t mean coverage and projections starts 9 months from now. Here I give my first 2019 NFL Mock Draft. The order is determined based on my schedule projections for each team during the 2018 NFL Season. Enjoy! 1. Miami Dolphins-Drew Lock-QB-Mizzou If the Tannehill experiment flops this year, the ‘Fins will be at the top of the board. In this case in a 3-way battle   for the top QB, Mizzou’s Drew Lock wins over Justin Herbert and Jarrett Stidham. I believe Lock can be a good talent in the NFL and definitely make a difference. 2. Cincinnati Bengals-Justin Herbert-QB-Oregon Andy Dalton’s mediocre run comes to an end as the Bengals select the exciting PAC-12 QB with incredible measurables and a huge arm. Herbert has extreme potential and he could be a very elite talent for the Cincinnati Bengals. 3. Cleveland Browns-Nick Bosa-DE-Ohio State T

What is Deshaun Watson's True Potential?

What is Deshaun Watson's True Potential? Nick Gaschler Today I take a true look at one of the league’s best quarterbacks right now-Deshaun Watson. The former Clemson standout was drafted to the Houston Texans 12th overall after a rocky Junior campaign at Clemson. After Tom Savage got benched in the Week One openin g loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Watson came in and performed well. In a Week Two TNF showdown with the Bengals, Watson showed his first true flash of potential. In Week Three, the Texans fell to the New England Patriots, but Watson almost had Tom Brady’s number in the showdown. This is when most everyone in the NFL realized Deshaun Watson was legit. Watson continued to impress ending his next 3 games 2-1 before the bye week. After the bye week, Watson and company traveled to Seattle and almost had the mighty Seahawks number just barely losing by 3 points. However, during practice Watson tore his ACL and missed the rest of the season. The Texans

Which Sophomores are Poised for a Breakout Season?

Which Sophomores are Poised for a Breakout Season? Nick Gaschler Every year you see a young player break out and go to the Pro Bowl or become a star on their team. Last year it was Jared Goff and William Jackson. The year before it was Melvin Gordon. These players have become stars and now we look towards the next group of Sophomores ready to break out so without further ado, let’s get into it. Mitchell Trubisky-QB-Chicago Bears The kid wasn’t bad in 2017, but was definitely overlooked due to a lack of playmakers on offense. A 59.4 completion percentage, about 2,200 yards and 7 touchdowns isn’t much, but with new playmakers in Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, and Anthony Miller, Trubisky should improve a lot. This will make the Bears offense a lot better and should put Trubisky in the spotlight. Dalvin Cook-RB-Minnesota Vikings The talented runner got off to a fast start in 2017 before tearing his ACL. In 2018, if he’s back healthy he could really end up being a top runn

Passing to the Torch: 6 College QB's Who Are About to be the Next Big Thing

Passing to the Torch: 6 College QB's Who Are About to be the Next Big Thing Nick Gaschler With the departure of great college quarterbacks in recent memory for the NFL, I take a look at 6 college quarterbacks that will dominate the college scenes for the next 1-3 years. Jake Fromm-Georgia Fromm and Bama’s Tua Tagovailoa will be dueling in the college scene for the foreseeable future and it could be either quarterback being great at one time. Fromm has a lot of great skill sets that can carry Georgia to the championship and eventually and NFL franchise. Fromm is a playmaker and just the thing the CFB needs. Tua Tagovailoa-Alabama The dynamic lefty is sure to be the next great mobile/passing QB in college football. A small sample of his skill set was shown in the 2018 National Championship and in 2018, there is certainly more that Tua will do in 2018. He’ll be a new offensive force in the SEC and should be a top pick in a couple years. JT Daniels-USC Here is ano

2019 Draft RB Overview

2019 Draft RB Overview Nick Gaschler The 2019 RB class is definitely a step down from the 2018 and 2017 classes, but several players in this class have the opportunity to be real superstars in the NFL. Let’s get into it! The Top Guys Bryce Love-Stanford It’s a straight up tie between two of the best runners in College Football. Bryce and Rodney Anderson sit atop this class and I think they both have great potential. Love is a great RB prospect as he has good speed, he has good vision, and he has the ability to get into the open-field often. However, his receiving game is obviously lacking and he doesn’t cut much. He also tends to get caught behind the line of scrimmage a lot as well. Rodney Anderson-Oklahoma In terms of rankings, Anderson is very, very close to passing Bryce Love. Anderson has the ability to be very elusive as he can squeeze through holes and breaks free easily. He’s quick and explosive and he is able to be a receiving threat in the NFL.
